Haunted Hiking in West Chesterfield.

Not really, but it was a nice day trip nonetheless. We read about this place in West Chesterfield that supposedly is the remains of a castle built in the wilderness and is supposedly haunted. I'll have to add the details when I can find my old copy of NHToDo, the magazine that ran the article about haunted hikes. I don't think either of us particularly felt like hiking but it was nice to get out and gave me a chance to shoot a few more frames with my new 5D. Again, I'm liking my once-lost wide-angle distortion. Its gonna take some time to get used to the "normal" depth of field of the full-frame sensor after five years flogging my 10D, but I've been looking forward to this.

Winter Comes To Andover

Winter feels like its back to stay. Its been in the teens and low twenties for most of the last week. Today was beautiful as long as you bundle up...and bring your camera.
I took a short walk on the rail trail and shot a few frames of the Blackwater River just starting to freeze over...and a group of people exercising their horses. Its almost time for ski joring again.

First Frame Out Of A New Camera

So last week my trusty 10D decided to take a couple of days off...deserved or not, and it was well-deserved, I need to know my camera is going to work when I need it to.
I've been wanting a 5D since the day they were first announced so it was a natural choice. Sometimes I'll miss the 1.6X crop factor when shooting sports but on the flipside, my 20mm is 20mm again!! Yay! I like wide angles more than any amount of telephoto. I'll use a teleconverter, thanks. I'm enjoying this camera already. This shot of Big Bear is the first frame from the 5D.
I'll upload when I can.

Hampton Beach

We took Onslow, (the guy in black and white), to Hampton Beach today. It was his first time visiting the ocean, ever, and he seemed to enjoy it....probably the seagulls more so than the sand and surf.

I'm Voting For Bump

Get out and vote on Tuesday, however inconsequential it may seem.
